What is 2kruns
2kruns is a worldwide competitive wager platform for NBA 2K players. All matches are played exclusively in Pro-Am private match mode on the latest version of NBA 2K. The platform connects teams, facilitates wagers, monitors matches through the 2kruns Ref system, and enforces the rules outlined on this page.
2kruns operates globally. Platform access and available features may vary by region based on local regulations. Only players of legal age in their jurisdiction may participate in real-money matches.
Pro-Am Private Match Mode Only
Every run on 2kruns is played in Pro-Am private match mode on the latest NBA 2K. No other game modes are supported. Captains are responsible for setting up the correct lobby type before play begins.
Ref-Monitored Matches
Every match is monitored by the 2kruns Ref system from the moment a match is accepted through final result verification. The Ref flags violations, disconnects, and no-shows in real time.
Verified Captains Required
All money matches require Twitch-verified captains on both sides. Captains represent their teams and are accountable for their roster's conduct throughout the match.

- You must be a Captain to have a team. You must have a team to post or accept any run.
Captain Requirement: There is no way to post or accept a wager match without being a Twitch-verified captain with an active team roster. Players who want to run money matches must complete Twitch verification and build their team before any run can be posted or accepted.
Game Mode & Format
All matches on 2kruns are played in Pro-Am private match mode on the latest version of NBA 2K. No other game mode, console generation, or platform version is officially supported. Captains must confirm the correct game mode is in use before the match begins.
- Captains post and accept runs through the 2kruns platform. Once a run is accepted, all match terms are locked.
- After a captain accepts a posted match, the ready-up sequence begins immediately.
- Both captains and their full teams must ready up within the configured ready-up window.
- Captain ready-up commits the entire team's side — all rostered players are considered ready when the captain confirms.
- No substitutions are permitted after ready-up. The roster locked at ready-up is the roster for the match.
- No last-second rule changes are permitted once a match has been accepted. All terms are locked at acceptance.
- The home captain is responsible for creating the match lobby in Pro-Am private match mode.
- Standard Pro-Am house rules apply unless both captains have explicitly agreed to modified rules in writing on the platform prior to the run.
- The match lobby must be created before the match window expires. Failure to create the lobby is treated as a forfeit by the home team.
How Ready-Up Works
The ready-up window opens the moment a match is accepted. Every player on both rosters must confirm ready within the window. The captain's ready-up acts as confirmation for their entire team's side. Missing or late ready-ups carry XP penalties, and if a full team fails to ready up, the opposing team wins by forfeit.
Window Opens at Acceptance
The ready-up timer starts immediately when a captain accepts the match. Both teams are notified and must act within the configured window.
All Players Must Ready Up
Every rostered player must confirm readiness within the window. The captain's ready-up represents the entire team — when the captain is ready, their side is locked in.
Missed Ready-Up
Failure to ready up within the full window results in a 50 XP no-show penalty. If an entire team fails to ready up, the opposing team wins by forfeit and wager funds are released accordingly.
Late Ready-Up
Readying up after the initial window but within the grace period carries a 25 XP late penalty. The match may still proceed at admin discretion.
Team Forfeit by No-Show
If a team fails to ready up in full, the opposing team is declared the winner. Escrowed wager funds are released after Ref review confirms the no-show.
No Subs After Ready-Up
Once ready-up is complete, the roster is locked. No player swaps, additions, or removals are permitted. Violations result in an immediate forfeit ruling.
Captain Disconnect — Stream Continuation Rule
If a captain disconnects or quits mid-match, the match does not end automatically. The surveilling ref immediately checks whether any remaining player on that team has a verified Twitch stream actively broadcasting that match at the moment of the disconnect.
- Active verified stream confirmed: The match continues. The surveilling ref monitors the active stream and determines the outcome. The disconnecting captain is marked as the quitter, receives no payout, and any winnings are distributed to the remaining players on their team.
- No active verified stream found: The team receives an automatic forfeit. The surveilling ref records and submits the result. The disconnecting captain is marked as the quitter and receives no payout. Wager funds are awarded to the opposing team in full.
Stream status is assessed at the exact moment the disconnect is detected. A stream started after the captain's disconnect is not eligible to qualify under this rule.
Forfeit by Captain Disconnect
A captain disconnect during an active, staked match triggers one of two outcomes — determined automatically by the surveilling ref based on verified stream status at the time of the event:
- Captain disconnects with no active verified stream: Automatic forfeit. The surveilling ref records and submits the result. The opposing team is declared the winner and the full staked amount is released to them. The disconnecting captain is marked as the quitter and receives no payout.
- Captain disconnects with an active verified stream: Match continues under stream monitoring. No forfeit is applied. The game runs to completion, the result is recorded from the live stream, and any winnings are distributed to the remaining players — not the disconnecting captain.
The surveilling ref's determination is automatic and logged against the match record. The standard 24-hour dispute window applies if either team believes the stream status was incorrectly assessed at the time of the disconnect.
Live & Continuous Match Monitoring
Every match on 2kruns is monitored by the 2kruns Ref system from ready-up through final result verification. Ref monitoring is live and continuous throughout the entire match window. The Ref system operates around the clock for all active matches worldwide.
- The Ref flags: disconnects, rule violations, mid-match quits, and no-shows.
- Ref flags are recorded automatically and form the primary evidence base for all dispute reviews.
- Ref decisions on clear-cut violations (no-show, forfeit, disconnect) are applied immediately and may be appealed within the dispute window.
- Appeals must be submitted through the 2kruns dispute system with supporting match footage or screenshots.
- Final authority on all disputed calls rests with 2kruns admin following Ref system review.
- Attempting to manipulate, circumvent, or deceive the Ref system is a serious violation and will result in suspension.
Match Surveillance & Stream Integrity
All matches are subject to live surveillance by the ref. Players and captains must maintain stream integrity throughout the match.
Ref Decisions: The Ref system's initial call stands unless successfully appealed. Admin reviews are completed within 48 hours of a filed dispute. Decisions issued after admin review are final and binding.

- Escrow: All wager funds are held in escrow from match acceptance through result verification. Neither team can access funds until the Ref system and admin confirm the result.
- Stake Lock: Stakes are locked only when the match code has been entered on both teams' streams and both teams have loaded into the game. Stakes are not locked during lobby or ready-up. Once locked, stakes remain until the official match outcome is determined. Wager amounts are locked at match acceptance — no adjustments can be made after a run is accepted by either captain.
- Service Fee: A flat $2 USD service fee is applied to all deposits. This fee is non-refundable.
- Withdrawal — Unverified Users: A 3% fee applies to all withdrawals for accounts that have not completed ID verification.
- Withdrawal — ID-Verified Users: A flat $5 fee applies to all withdrawals for ID-verified accounts, regardless of amount.
- Payouts: Winning team funds are released from escrow after match result verification. Standard processing times apply based on your selected payment method and region.
24-Hour Free Withdrawal Window — Post-Match Policy
The 24-hour free withdrawal window applies only to players who have staked and played at least one match. Eligible players may withdraw their remaining balance free of charge (minus the $2 service fee) within 24 hours of their last completed match. This window is not a general deposit refund — users who deposit funds but have not yet staked and played a match are not eligible for fee-free withdrawal under this policy. After the 24-hour window expires, standard withdrawal fees apply. This free withdrawal option is exclusively available to ID-verified accounts.
Available payment methods depend on your region. Only region-approved methods will appear at checkout. 2kruns does not guarantee the availability of any specific payment method in all jurisdictions.

- All penalties are issued automatically by the Ref system and logged against the offending account.
- Admin reviews Ref-issued penalties on appeal. Successful appeals result in full XP restoration.
- Repeated violations — especially no-shows and mid-match disconnects — may trigger a temporary account suspension review regardless of current XP standing.
- XP fines are applied to the individual account, unless the violation involves the captain acting in their team-representative capacity.
Zero Tolerance Violations
The following conduct is strictly prohibited on 2kruns. Violations may result in immediate account suspension or permanent ban, including forfeiture of escrowed funds and account balances per the 2kruns Terms of Service.
- Match Fixing or Collusion: Pre-arranging match outcomes, sharing signals with the opposing team, or coordinating to manipulate wager results between competing sides.
- Exploits, Glitches & Modded Controllers: Using in-game exploits, known glitches, or hardware modifications that provide an unfair mechanical advantage.
- Abusive Language or Harassment: Directing abusive, threatening, or harassing conduct at any player, captain, or 2kruns staff member in match lobbies or platform communications.
- Impersonation: Falsely representing yourself as another player, captain, or 2kruns staff member to gain access, funds, or platform advantages.
- Wager Manipulation: Any attempt to manipulate wager outcomes through external means — including fraudulent payment submissions, false dispute filings, or collusion with the opposing team to split winnings unfairly.
- Platform Abuse: Creating multiple accounts, using bots or automated scripts, or deliberately exploiting platform bugs or loopholes for unfair advantage or financial gain.
Enforcement: Prohibited conduct violations are reviewed by 2kruns admin. Consequences range from a formal warning with XP fine up to a permanent ban with full fund forfeiture, depending on severity and violation history. There is no warning grace period for zero-tolerance violations such as match fixing or fraud.
Filing a Dispute
All disputes must be filed through the 2kruns dispute system. Initiating chargebacks through payment providers is prohibited and will result in immediate account suspension. The Ref system's match log forms the primary evidence base for all dispute reviews.
Server Failure Dispute
If a 2K server failure occurs after a match has started, both captains have a 50-minute window to submit a screenshot and message through the platform showing the server issue.
- Both captains submit valid evidence within the window: The match will be refunded in full. All staked funds are returned to the respective players.
- Only one captain submits, or evidence is insufficient: No refund will be issued. The match result stands as determined by the ref.
All server failure evidence must be submitted through the 2kruns dispute system within the 50-minute window from the time of the failure. Late submissions will not be accepted under any circumstances.
- Dispute Window: Disputes must be filed within 24 hours of match end (default window). Disputes filed outside this window will not be reviewed under any circumstances.
- Evidence: Submit match footage, screenshots, or platform communication logs as supporting evidence. The more documentation provided, the faster and more accurate the review.
- Ref Review First: The Ref system log is reviewed first. If the violation is clear-cut in the log, admin will issue a decision based on that data without requiring additional evidence.
- Admin Decision is Final: After Ref review, the 2kruns admin decision is final and binding. There is no further appeal beyond the admin level.
- No Chargebacks: Initiating a payment chargeback through PayPal, your bank, or any other payment provider — whether during an active dispute or in lieu of filing one — results in immediate account suspension.
- Funds During Dispute: Escrowed wager funds remain held until the dispute is fully resolved. Neither team receives any funds until admin issues a final decision.

First Offense — Minor Violation
A formal warning is issued and an XP fine is applied per the relevant penalty schedule. The account remains fully active. The warning is logged and considered in all future enforcement decisions.

Repeat or Serious Violation — Temporary Suspension
Temporary suspension from 1 to 30 days depending on violation severity and account history. Suspended accounts cannot post, accept, participate in any match, or access platform funds during the suspension period. Escrowed funds from pre-suspension matches are held until suspension ends.

Severe Violation — Permanent Ban
Permanent removal from the 2kruns platform. All escrowed and available account funds may be forfeited per the Terms of Service, particularly in cases involving match fixing, fraud, chargebacks, or deliberate platform abuse. Permanent bans are not subject to reversal except at the sole discretion of 2kruns administration.
Ban Appeals: To appeal a suspension or ban, email support@2kruns.com with your account details and a clear explanation of your appeal. Appeals for permanent bans are reviewed at admin discretion and are not guaranteed to result in reinstatement.
Real-Money Competition — Know Your Local Laws
2kruns facilitates real-money wager competitions in jurisdictions where such activity is legal. It is each player's sole responsibility to understand and comply with the gambling, contest, and prize competition laws applicable in their local jurisdiction before participating in any real-money match on the platform.

2kruns reserves the right to update, modify, or amend these rules and regulations at any time without prior notice. All updates take effect immediately upon publication on the platform.
Major rule changes — those affecting match format, wager limits, penalties, or payment processing — will be announced to all active users via the platform notification system. Continued use of 2kruns following any update constitutes full acceptance of the revised rules.
It is each player and captain's responsibility to review the current rules before posting, accepting, or participating in any match. Claiming ignorance of a current rule is not a valid basis for any dispute or appeal.
